Many innocent pastors get a very raw deal, are forced to resign, sacked etc., and often there is no way to express the hurt, or get justice. Please believe me, you are not alone and there is help and hope at hand and resources to assist. You don't have to face it alone.

If there is trouble in your church, no matter where the right or wrong lies, in this denomination you are EXPECTED to resign. Since pastors are told they are not protected by state law in their contract of 'call', there is no safety net!

Since there is no safety net for pastors, they can be and are often treated in the worst possible way. How can this be right? Can this be approved by God? Is it not time to face up to this and change?

What happened to the Gospel--the real one that is. There are plenty of 'gospels' about these days, and lots of 'blind' people who merrily follow along after their 'blind leaders'. All fall in the hole though, unless they wise up...

Just because our leaders and believers call themselves 'Christian', does not mean they are. The New Testament has so many warnings about false apostles, false brothers, false believers--all who 'think' they are following Christ, but they are following in vain. So, how can we tell the difference?

In 2008 I was dismissed (voted out / sacked) from being pastor of the ********** ***** Church. It amounted to unfair dismissal actually, but since pastors do not come under NZ employment law, and have no 'normal' employment rights to fairness as everyone else in NZ does, there are few if any options for redress. This means that a NZ Pastor has no rights to any protection under the normal employment law, there is no safety net. In this denomination if a pastor and church have an issue, it does not matter at all if the pastor is completely innocent, and if another 'side' are being completely sinful or unfair. The rights or wrongs of the situation do not matter. The pastor is EXPECTED to resign and a lot of pressure will be applied to make them do so. If there is resistance, they will be pressurised even more (in my mind punished). Since these events of 2008, I have been contacted by and made aware of many other pastors who have faced unfair treatment. This web site is not created out of bitterness or resentment or a desire to retaliate, but to expose what is happening (yes it is happening to others right now) in the hope that there will be repentance and change so that pastors are treated in the same way as any other employer with the protection of a contract under state law.
